Oligotherapy is a method of furnishing the body with the essential trace minerals (metals and metalloids) that are indispensable for cellular enzymatic functions. Due to the impoverishment of soils, our foods are often depleted in minerals, and poor absorption of nutrients is also a current problem.
What is oligotherapy?
The trace element formulas are synergistic combinations of ions in a liquid, designed to target specific systems of the body, such as the skeletal, the cardiovascular, nervous, immune, or hormonal systems, etc. For more scientific information, please click here.
Oligotherapy is as yet not well-known in the Anglo Saxon world, although it is established on the European continent and in Canada. Ayurveda and Tibetan medicine also traditionally involve trace elements. In the UK, the Institute of Oligotherapy, with Colleen O’Flaherty as its director, trains practitioners and imports supplements from the Swiss laboratory Bioligo.
How does it work?
Oligotherapy supplements provide essential nutrition that helps to reduce free radical activity. They act as catalysts for better metabolism at a cellular level, enhancing the movement of ions in and out of cells. They are absorbed sub-lingually: the liquid is held under the tongue for 30 seconds.
Is it safe?
Oligotherapy is fast-acting, safe and effective, with no side effects. It is compatible with other therapies and medications.
